Unraveling

Two For More

She takes my hand
this other me
shows me where
she’s been
says it’s a rough road
filled with boulders
hidden snakes
miles of sand
in all directions.

Let’s me know
with comforting grip
she’s been here before
knows the way
no need
to be afraid
must stay aware
or,

could fly together,
by seat of our pants.

  1. love the mutual poetry, kids! keep up the good work.

  2. J, she called us ‘kids’. Don’t know if I should reach out and bop her one, or mix her a double and salute her. What do you think?
